Pekin High School wanted to update their existing library to support 21st century learning models and provide a warm, engaging space that students felt comfortable in and were drawn to. The renovated Library includes small, medium, and large group classrooms, a café area, new circulation desk and research stations, workroom and offices. Operable partitions and glass walls are used to connect the classrooms to the Library stacks area to create a dynamic, unified space

NEEDS:

  • Engaging, updated space for students to gather and collaborate from early morning to evening

  • Created various small, medium, and large spaces to accommodate any group

  • Made environmental graphics and color selections to support school branding
